Specialized Tests - CLEP, FAQ
As alternative assessments, the College recognizes College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) Subject Standardized Examinations. All exams are 90 minutes long and consist primarily of multiple-choice questions except English Composition with Essay. Some exams do require fill-in answers. Each provides an opportunity for students with knowledge and experience in a subject to obtain course credit without actually attending classes. To learn more about these exams, applicants should contact the educational officer(s) at the military installations prior to scheduling a test. Currently, nine computers can be occupied simultaneously for CLEP testing.
